| Description | 4K UHD - In a dystopian future, the rich have abandoned Earth entirely in favor of an opulent, orbiting space station called Elysium, while down on the surface the poor suffer constant indignity, overpopulation, disease, and misery. Luckily, Matt Damon is on hand to bring about some social justice. He plays Max, a blue-collar everyman who is exposed to a massive dose of radiation. Only the one-percent have access to the cutting-edge treatment he needs to survive, so Max sets out to occupy Elysium, and redistribute the wealth to the suffering poor on earth. It's not going to be easy: the rich are pretty serious about keeping undesirables on their side of the space-tracks, and Max must face off against Secretary of Defense Delacourt (Jodie Foster) and her brutal enforcer Kruger (Sharlto Copley). |
